CRITCALLY ACCLAIMED SHORT USES 3 CJ SONGS!

  • The independent film "Give Or Take An Inch" by Lee Friedlander premiered November 3rd to a very receptive crowd at the Power Up! Benefit Gala in Beverly Hills. Honored at the event were Melissa Etheridge, and president of programming at Showtime, Jerry Offsay.
  • The cast included Amanda Bearse (Married With Children), Michele Greene (LA Law), Megan Cavanagh (A League of Their Own), and Tim Maculan (Six Feet Under).
  • Previously unreleased versions of "Stay", "Settle For Love", and "Spit It Out" provided much of the background music to the 15 minute short.


"NOW" LICENSED TO MTV!

  • Recently, Cara inked a licensing deal with MTV's Bunim-Murray Productions for use in its popular shows "THE REAL WORLD", "ROAD RULES", "All-star Challenge" and "The Making of the Band".

"SUGAR SWEET" DOES THE FILM FESTIVAL CIRCUIT! (6/28/02)

  • The Japanese independent film, "Sugar Sweet", makes the rounds this summer to film festivals across North America. After playing to sold-out houses in Miami and Toronto, it debuted in New York, Philadelphia, San Francisco,and Los Angeles!

"NOW" TO BE RELEASED IN SOUTH AFRICA!

  • Dogma Music of South Afirca has picked up "NOW" for release across the continent with distribution from Sony.
  • Since the January 2002 feature of "Spit It Out' on the internationally-popular Dawson's Creek, Cara Jones' name and voice have become more well-known in Africa.

"SPIT IT OUT" FEATURED ON DAWSON'S CREEK! (1/16/2002)

  • The song will be the background music for the very first scene in Act 1 (before the first commercial). The scene is a driving scene with Dawson and Jen as they return to Capeside, and "Spit It Out" is playing while they drive!

FILM SOUNDTRACK DEBUT! (7/21/2001)

  • Two songs from "NOW" were featured in the independent Japanese film, "Sugar Sweet", which premiered in Tokyo on July 21st to critical acclaim.
  • Featured songs are: "Candy Bar" and "Spit It Out".
  • This feature-length drama was made for the V-Theater channel of Sky Perfect TV, and will be distributed on video in Japan after the TV broadcast in August.
