Bio

Million-selling singer and songwriter Cara Jones is excited to announce the 2020 Re-Release of “Pandora’s Box” — a fully re-mixed and remastered version of her second album (out of print until now) which was previously featured on TV, radio and commercials. Known for songs recorded by Japanese artists such as The Yellow Monkey, Zabadak, Puffy AmiYumi, Yusa Mimori, commercial hits such as “Half as Much” or “Supermodel” for Kewpie Half, and music for video games and anime, Cara left Japan after nearly a decade of music-making and 3 of her own albums (including the critically-acclaimed “NOW” in 2000, which enjoyed placements in American television and films as well) to care for her aging parents and, later, start a family of her own in Los Angeles.

The years since leaving Japan have been filled with more voiceover work than music – Cara’s spoken voice is known for announcing at the Olympics and as the English voice of the car navigation systems for the Cadillac, Land Rover, Jaguar, Mercedes Benz and more. A happy marriage and becoming a mother to a very musical child have brought her to a place where music is at the forefront of her life once again. So with the help of her husband (guitarist and recording engineer David Dans) she has made the re-release of “Pandora’s Box” the first step in her musical return.
New recordings are in the pipeline too…
